Lucy POV
I sat at the park on a cold wooden bench that looks over the park. "Its getting pretty cold" I blew a breathe of air into the cold world. "Its so cold we can see our breathe" I heard a raspy voice speak behind me as the owner of the voice came up to the bench.
"Naruto" I looked at the yellow haired ninja as he sat next to me. He was wearing a black scarf along with his normal black and orange outfit. "Why are you here all alone Luce?" he looked towards me as I gazed into the distance. "Its getting colder, I wanted to take a walk before it starts snowing."
"Yeah it'll be snowing here pretty soon" Naruto chuckled and looked forward as well. "Its really pretty here when it snows, you'll love it" I stood and held my hand out to Naruto "come on" I smiled as he looked up at me
"W-where are we going" he yelped as I tugged on his hand. "Just come" I giggled as we made our way out of the village and strolled down the path. "The forrest out here is so beautiful. I wanted to see it" we have been cooped up in the village for a month after Sasuke got taken.
"It is" Naruto looked around at the green trees as they swayed in the breeze.
It started getting dark so we made our way back to the village. "Lucy?" Naruto stopped before the village gates. "Yeah Naruto?" I turned with my arms behind my back. My cheeks were red from the cool night breeze. "D-do you still love Natsu?" Naruto was looking down at his feet as his feet shuffled around.
"I don't think its even a question anymore" I walked over to Naruto "I will always love him, I don't think ill ever stop. But that doesn't mean I can't fall in love with someone else" I gave Naruto a soft genuine smile as he looked from his feet to my eyes. "R-really?" he stutters "d-do you like anyone else?" his face now red.
"Hmmm" I put my hand on my chin as I turn my back to a questioning Naruto. I looked over my shoulder so Naruto could only see half my face. "Maybe" I giggled with red cheeks
He smiled as he ran over to me and we walked into the gates of the Leaf Village.
The lights that illuminated the streets of the village flickered to life as the sun dropped. "The village is so peaceful at night, so busy in the morning" I looked around at the flickering lights as they lit the ground in a soft golden color.
I looked up to the Hokage rock once it came into view "So your dad was the 4th Hokage?" I looked from the rock formation of the 4th to Naruto. He simply nodded as he looked towards the rock with proud eyes. "He was a hero" he smiled as I watched his expressions closely.
"You are too" I giggled as he looked down to me. His eyes wide, his cheeks painted with a soft redish pink color.
The next day I woke earlier then most. I jumped out of bed and got ready for the day.
I walked out of my house and decided to go get a present for Naruto, since he had gotten me an outfit a while ago.
I walked into a couple of shops and couldn't find anything.
"Why can't I find anything" I huffed as I walked up the stairs to go back into my house. I wrote a small note and placed the gifts I got for Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi on Naruto's door step, along with the note.
The note indicating I was leaving the village to get something. Also indicating that the gifts were for Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi.
I smiled to myself and left the village.
"So where should I go to find something for Naruto" I stopped at a few stores that were close to the village.
As I was walking out of one I saw Itachi sitting down eating something. "Hi Itachi!" I ran up to him and bent down in front of him. When he looked up his cheeks got red and he fell backwards landing on his back, his legs folded over the bench he was sitting on.
"You okay?" I asked as I helped him up. "Sorry or startling you" I giggled as he nodded "its okay" he put another stick of Dango into his mouth and offered me a stick. "Thanks" I took he stick and ate one of the balls off of it. "Mmmm" I smiled and looked over to Itachi "this is so good!" I ate the rest and stood "well I'm off, I'm going to buy a gift for Naruto" I waved Itachi off and went on my way.
I came upon a small store and I walked in. It was mainly small articles of clothing, hats, beanies, scarves, etc.
I walked to the back and saw a black jacket and ran my hand over the side of it. "Perfect" I grabbed it and walked to the front. "Do you want it wrapped?" the cashier asked, I simply nodded.
I walked out of the store and placed the small package into my backpack, then slung the backpack over my shoulder.
As I started back to the Village I saw a woman come out of the bushes, she had scratches all over her body. I ran over to her and helped her stand. "Are you okay?" I frantically asked as she looked to me in terror. "M-MONSTER!" she yelled and ran away from me as I stood confused.
Thats when I heard a loud boom from the forrest to my left. "What the hell?" I looked up and saw a giant ugly brown statue looking creature. "You've gotta be kidding me" I face palmed and ran towards the mass.
When I got there I saw a bunch of people I didn't recognize fighting the creature. "H-hey whats going on?" I yelled to one of the people who were closest to me. "10 tails has been unleashed!" the man yelled to me, he was wearing blue armor and he had black eyes. "W-who are you?" I yelled as he ran over to me and grabbed me as a tail of the beast came down. "Watch yourself"
I looked up at the man who had just saved me "I am the 2nd Hokage" he looked down to me "we've been reanimated" he then disappears in a flash and I see him on one of the tails. "I-i need to warn the leaf village" I start running as Im slammed to the ground by one of the hands of the creature.
"sh*t" I start pounding onto the hand "Let me go!" I yell as it grabs me and brings me up.
I am soon staring into the eyes of a black haired man. "Obito..."
